Highlights the high-quality work done by the Committee on Petitions on the impact of climate change on social security and the most vulnerable groups and on compensation for the victims of climate change disasters, which confirms the significant improvements achieved in recent years by climate change detection and attribution science, which was already successfully used by citizens and associations to pursue legal action to hold fossil fuel companies and governments accountable for their contribution to, or failure to take action on, climate change; A10-0063/18
