Notes the ongoing debate on updating public procurement thresholds; stresses, however, that the revision should focus on reducing unnecessary administrative burdens, boosting competitiveness and simplifying procedures, as well as promoting quality jobs, collective bargaining and environmental sustainability; notes that public procurement must, at the same time, continue to ensure fair competition and equal opportunities for all suppliers;
