On 9 March 2017, in Ms Thyssen’s answer on behalf of the Commission to question E-000101-17 on the Hotel Marqués de la Ensenada in Valladolid (Spain), Ms Thyssen confirmed that the hotel project had been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the programming period 2000-2006 through the Agency for Innovation, Funding and Business Internationalisation of Castile-Leon and that the renovation of the building and its co-financing by the ERDF had been approved in 2006.

The Hotel Marqués de la Ensenada in Valladolid (Spain) was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the 2000-2006 programming period through the Agency for Innovation, Funding and Business Internationalisation of Castile-Leon.

The total cost of this project was EUR 2 841 082.00 and the grant that was approved corresponded to EUR 255 697.38 (9% of the total cost).

The ERDF co-financed EUR 204 557.90 and the remaining EUR 51 139.48 were co-financed with national funds.

The project included the renovation of a former factory and the purchase of equipment in order to set up the hotel.
