L’Office de Tourisme Intercommunal de Puget sur Argens /
Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel a été créé en 2017 pour donner suite
à l’application de la Loi Notre. Il regroupe deux territoires
différents du Sud Est du Var.
Puget sur Argens / Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel Intercommunal Tourist Office was created in 2017, in application of the ‘Notre’ law pertaining to the territorial reorganization of France, bringing together two distinct territories in the southeast Var region.

Ideally located in the heart of the countryside and
gateway to the Mediterranean coast, Puget sur
Argens has multiple facets combining easy living
with vibrant energy. Discover the local area through
our vineyards and olive groves or at the unique eco-
friendly “Village - Made in France” center. Immerse
yourself in the rich culture of tradition at the annual
‘fête de la Saint-Jacques’; a 4-day with festival
including parades, a village ball, majorettes and
fireworks display. Admire local craftsmanship with
our ‘santonnières’ (creators of nativity figurines) and
ceramicists.
Le centre ancien du village de Puget sur Argens a gardé son
charme provençal avec ses façades colorées et ses ruelles
étroites.

A Provençal village - The old part of Puget sur Argens has retained its Provencal charm with colorful façades and narrow streets.
The clock tower, with its 17th century bell tower, built on the old village fortifications testifies to the village’s history.
The church, with its heritage altarpiece, is consecrated to Saint James.

La tour de l’horloge avec son campanile du XVII ème siècle édifiée
sur les anciennes fortifications de la ville atteste de l’ancienneté
du village.
L’église qui bénéficie d’un retable classé est dédiée à Saint-
Jacques le majeur.
Chaque été, le dernier week-end
de juillet et début août,
le village renoue avec les traditions
provençales et célèbre son Saint Patron.
Durant une semaine, vous vivrez au rythme des
bals, fête foraine, feux d’artifice et animations
pour enfants. Un temps fort de la vie du village
où l’histoire est devenue tradition populaire
et l’occasion idéale pour se retrouver tous
ensemble, Pugétois et vacanciers !
Every summer, starting on the last weekend of July,
the village reconnects with Provençal traditions and
celebrates its Patron Saint.
A week of festivities follow, where you will live to the
rhythm of village dances, a funfair, fireworks, and kids’
entertainment. A highlight in the village calendar,
where history becomes a living tradition, offering
an ideal opportunity for locals and holidaymakers to
enjoy the festivities together.

MUSÉE - PUGET D’ANTAN
“Puget d’Antan”, le musée des arts et traditions populaires a
ouvert ses portes en 2023.
Situé en plein cœur du village à l’intérieur d’un bâtiment
emblématique datant du XIII e siècle, ce musée illustre le Puget
de la fin du XIXe siècle et du début du XXe siècle, son agriculture
et ses industries, au milieu d’une reproduction de maison de la
fin du XIXe siècle et ses costumes d’autrefois.
C’est l’ancienne association Gréu Pugetan, présidée par Maurice
Mellano qui avait œuvré à la récupération et à la conservation
de ce patrimoine local ancestral depuis 1996, qui en a fait don
au musée.
Plus de 200 objets ont été restaurés
et sont visibles au musée !
LE CHÂTEAU D’EAU
Initialement un réservoir des années 60 qui approvisionnait
la commune en eau potable, son sommet a été entièrement
réaménagé : il représente désormais un véritable balcon sur les
alentours, vous y découvrirez un panorama sur les communes
des Adrets-de-l’Estérel, Fréjus, Roquebrune-sur-Argens et Saint-
Raphaël.
“Puget d’Antan”- (‘Puget of Yesteryear’) - is a museum of arts and popular traditions which opened its doors in 2023. Housed in an emblematic 13th Century building right in the heart of the village, the museum reveals Puget in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries; its agriculture and industries as well as a reproduction of a late 19th Century house with costumes from bygone days. The collection was donated to the museum by the Gréu Pugetan association, presided over by Maurice Mellano, who, since 1996, has organized the recuperation and conservation of local ancestral heritage. More than 200 objects have been restored and are on display at the museum!

Vous pourrez profiter en famille du calme des
sentiers de randonnée du site naturel de la
Lieutenante en découvrant trois petits lacs et des
vues à couper le souffle.
Le site naturel lieu-dit de la Lieutenante situé dans la forêt
communale du Défens, sur un périmètre Natura 2000, dispose
d’espaces dédiés au sport de nature et aux familles.
Le réseau Natura 2000 rassemble des sites naturels ou semi-naturels de l’Union européenne ayant une grande valeur patrimoniale, par la faune et la flore exceptionnelles qu’ils contiennent.
There are many outdoor activities on offer around the village including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and horse riding. Enjoy tranquility and breathtaking views along hiking trails and around the three small lakes in the Lieutenante Nature Park. The Lieutenante, located in the Défense municipal forest - a Natura 2000 classified area, provides spaces dedicated to outdoor sports and family activities.
Natura 2000 is a network of natural or semi-natural sites in the European Union considered of great heritage value due to the exceptional fauna and flora they contain.

Le site de la Lieutenante est un lieu
incontournable, la richesse de ses paysages
et le dépaysement sont ses points forts à
quelques kilomètres du village.
Au départ du parking Manganelli, boulevard
Général Leclerc, vous retrouverez une aire de
pique-nique ombragée sous les pins, ainsi qu’un
panneau d’orientation et le départ des sept
circuits : pédestres, VTT, trail, qui permettent
une immersion totale au cœur de la nature.
Les circuits ont été choisis pour permettre
au plus grand nombre de découvrir les
richesses de ce site.
Vous pourrez faire le tour des trois lacs, la
boucle du Défens, le sentier des Meulières, le
Ronflon, dans un cadre préservé.

LE CHEMIN
DE COMPOSTELLE
La commune de Puget sur Argens située sur la
Via Aurélia est profondément liée au chemin
de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. Disposant
d’un gîte pour les pèlerins localisé en
contrebas de l’église Saint Jacques le majeur,
notre commune se trouve être une véritable
ville d’accueil sur la route de Compostelle.
Ce sentier est aujourd’hui un chemin universel
pour ceux qui souhaitent l’emprunter. C’est avant
tout une idée de balade originale qui permet de
découvrir notre commune et ses environs sous
un angle différent. Le paysage est varié et le
chemin réserve de belles surprises pour ceux
qui prendront le temps d’observer la nature…
Ce chemin de randonnée au dénivelé modéré
permet au plus grand nombre d’en profiter.
The Lieutenant nature park is a must-see with its rich landscapes
providing a wonderful change of scenery and just a few
kilometers from the village.
Leaving the Manganelli car park on boulevard Général Leclerc,
you will find a shaded picnic area under the pine trees, as
well as an orientation panel and the departure point for seven
circuits (hiking, mountain biking, trail) providing the perfect
opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the heart of nature.
The circuits have been specifically designed to allow most
visitors the chance to enjoy the natural wealth of this site. The
circuits around the three lakes: the Defens loop, the Meulières
trail and the Ronflon, are all beautifully preserved.
The Road to Compostelle - The village of Puget sur Argens,
situated on the Via Aurélia, is deeply connected to the ‘Chemin
de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle’. A stopover guest house for
traveling pilgrims can be found at the foot of Saint Jacques
church, living proof of Puget’s status as a host town on the road
to Compostelle.
Today, this path is an original way to discover our municipality
and its surroundings from a different angle. The scenery is
varied, and the path holds some beautiful surprises for those
who take the time to observe nature. The path is of moderate
elevation gain and therefore accessible to most.

Une randonnée facile qui permet de découvrir trois petits lacs du
bois du Défens, blottis au creux des affleurements rocheux du massif
volcanique de la Colle du Rouet.
At Puget, go along the boulevard du Général Leclerc up to Domaine de la Lieutenante. Park your car in the designated parking area. An easy hike along which you will find three small lakes in the Défens woods, nestling in the rocky outcrops of the Colle du Rouet volcanic mountain.

auprès d’un Office de Tourisme ou
sur le site de la préfecture avant toute
promenade dans la nature.

d’olive de Provence” s’étend sur les quatre
départements du Vaucluse, des Bouches
du Rhône, du Var et des Alpes-de-Haute-
Provence ainsi qu’à quelques communes
du Gard rhodanien et une commune de la
Drôme.
Olive oil “AOC olive oil from Provence” - The geographical
area of the ‘AOC olive oil from Provence’ covers the four
departments of Vaucluse, Bouches du Rhône, Var and
Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, as well as a few communes in the

Guy, pouvez-vous nous expliquer l’histoire de votre
oliveraie ?
Guy, can you tell us the history of your olive grove?
Le terrain appartenait à mon arrière-grand-père, nous
cultivons les olives depuis plus de 100 ans. J’ai pour
projet de développer mon activité avec mes enfants en
construisant un moulin pour produire directement sur
place afin de garantir un circuit-court pour les clients.
The land belonged to my great-grandfather, and we have been growing olives here for over 100 years. My plan now is to expand the business with my children by building a mill to produce the oil directly on site, providing a shortcut for customers.

n’est pas produite à Puget sur Argens : elle tient son nom
de son fondateur Adolphe Puget, négociant en huile
d’olive marseillais. Si vous voulez découvrir l’authentique
huile d’olive de Puget, venez à ma rencontre !
Absolutely not! ‘Puget’ olive oil sold in supermarkets is not produced in Puget sur Argens: it takes its name from its founder Adolphe Puget, a trader in Marseille olive oil. If you want to discover the authentic olive oil from the Puget area, come and see me.
Comment se déroule la récolte des olives ?
How are the olives harvested?
La taille des oliviers se fait entre février et mars, il est
préférable de les éclaircir au centre car les olives poussent
toujours sur les extrémités. Une fois que la pollinisation
se fait les oliviers vont alors avoir des jeunes pousses.
Viennent ensuite les traitements et la surveillance des
insectes tout au long de la saison. Fin juin-début juillet,
on peut voir apparaître les premiers “petits bijoux verts”
provenant de nos terres ancestrales. Enfin, la récolte des
olives se fait à la main fin octobre-début novembre, et
vient le moment d’aller au moulin afin que l’huile soit
extraite et filtrée.
The olive trees are pruned between February and March, it’s better to thin out the center of the tree as the olives always grow on the ends. Once pollination is completed, the olive trees will grow new shoots. The trees are then treated and monitored for insects throughout the season. Between late June and early July, the first “little green jewels” from our ancestral lands appear. Finally, the olives are harvested by hand late October / early November, and then it’s off to the mill so that the oil can be extracted and filtered.

Chaleureuses et authentiques, elles commencent souvent par un bon repas et se poursuivent toujours avec une soirée dansante. FÊTE DE LA SAINT-JACQUES
La tradition de la Saint-Jacques est
ancrée depuis longtemps dans notre
village. Chaque dernier dimanche de
Juillet, on porte la statue du saint en
procession dans les rues du village, en
costumes traditionnels et au son des
tambourinaires, la fameuse “Danse de
la Souche” venant clôturer cette matinée
spéciale. Le Comité des Fêtes organise à
cette occasion des festivités : bal tous les
soirs, fête foraine, journée des enfants…
Fête de la Saint-Jacques - The Saint-Jacques
tradition has long been rooted in our village.
The last Sunday of July, a statue of the saint is
carried in procession around the village streets
to the sound of drummers dressed in traditional
costumes. The celebrated “Dance de la Souche”
closes this exceptional morning. Other festivities,
organized by the Events Committee to mark this
special occasion include a village dance every
night, funfair, children’s day...

une course de 10 km au cœur du

et de la lutte contre le cancer du
sein. Un accueil chaleureux et une
dégustation de vins* attendent les
participants à leur arrivée !
Foulée Rosée (Pink stride) - Since 2015,
the first Sunday of October is devoted to
an event that is both sporty and committed.
‘Foulée rosée’ is a 10 km race in the heart
of the village and among the vineyards
of Puget sur Argens, benefitting October
Rose and the fight against breast cancer.

Dans le cadre des fêtes de fin d’année,
lorsque les nuits deviennent plus
longues et plus froides, le village se
pare de lumières qui réchauffent les

devient alors un lieu d’animations
pour les enfants, et accueille un petit
marché de Noël.
Puget lights up: for the holiday season,
when the nights get longer and colder,
the village is adorned with illuminations
to warm the heart! The square in front of
the town hall is transformed into a kids’
entertainment area with a small Christmas

se sont réunis pour rassembler

On y trouve… des fruits, des légumes, de la viande et du fromage
sous vide, des cosmétiques, du pain
et des plantes.
La plateforme se distingue par la vente
directe par les agriculteurs, limitant ainsi les
intermédiaires et le gaspillage
À côté de l’espace de vente se trouve un
atelier de transformation de poisson monté
en association avec les pêcheurs des Alpes-
Maritimes, mais qui fabrique aussi des
soupes, compotes et autres à partir des jus
de fruits et de légumes.

The agriculture platform “Ô Paysans” - Which
opened its doors in 2024, is supported by the
conurbation authority and enables the development
of local distribution channels around the Estérel
Côte d’Azur area. The platform was developed by 6
partners, comprising market gardeners, winegrowers
and citrus growers, who have gathered more than 700
product references from 100 farms around the Var and
the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region. The products
available include fruits, vegetables, vacuum-packed
meat and cheese, cosmetics, bread and plants.
The platform is characterized by direct selling by
farmers, thus limiting intermediaries and waste.
Next to the sales area, a fish processing workshop
has been set up in association with fishermen from
the Alpes-Maritimes department. The workshop also
produces soups, purées and other products derived
from fruit and vegetable juices.
To complete the offer, a drive-in sales point is coming
soon!

Comme chaque année pendant l’été, l’arrêté préfectoral du 15 mai 2006 réglemente la pénétration dans les massifs forestiers, la circulation et le stationnement sur certaines voies les desservant pour la période du 21 juin au 30 septembre.
In accordance with government legislation, access to wooded areas, forest roads and carparks is restricted during the summer period (from June 21st to September 30th ).

L’Office de Tourisme Intercommunal de Puget sur Argens - Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel a été créé en 2017 suite à l’application de la loi Notre. Il regroupe deux territoires différents du Sud Est du Var.
Le village de Puget sur Argens se situe entre l’Argens et les contreforts de l’Estérel, au Nord-Ouest de Fréjus, tandis que le village des Adrets, plus proche du Pays de Fayence, se situe à la limite des départements du Var et des Alpes Maritimes.
The Puget sur Argens - Les Adrets de l’Estérel Intercommunal Tourist Office was created in 2017 in application of the ‘Notre’ Law. It comprises two separate territories in the south-east of the Var. The village of Puget sur Argens is located north-west of Fréjus, nestled between the Argens river and the foothills of the Estérel massif, while the village of Les Adrets is closer to the Pays de Fayence region and lies on the border of the Var and Alpes Maritimes departments.

de l’agitation de la Croisette, les îles de
Lérins offrent un havre de paix, au cœur
d’une nature préservée, entourées d’une
eau turquoise. Chacune a son style :
Saint-Honorat accueille depuis 16 siècles
les moines de l’Abbaye de Lérins. La vie y
est rythmée par les appels des cloches et
le travail de la vigne.
Sainte-Marguerite, plus grande, est une
magnifique réserve naturelle. Elle est
dominée par le Fort Royal, dont le plus
illustre des prisonniers était le Masque
de fer. Quel que soit votre choix, c’est
l’occasion d’une excursion dépaysante et
ressourçante !
8 Just a stone’s throw from Cannes and the hustle and
bustle of La Croisette, the Lérins islands offer a haven
of peace in the heart of unspoiled nature surrounded
by turquoise water. Each island has its own personality:
Saint-Honorat has been home to the monks of the
Lérins Abbey for 16 centuries. Life here is punctuated
by the ringing of the bells and working in the vineyard.
Sainte-Marguerite, the larger of the two islands, is a
magnificent nature reserve, dominated by Fort Royal,
once a prison which held the illustrious ‘man in the
iron mask’. Whichever you choose, this is the perfect
opportunity for a really enjoyable and resourcing
excursion!
